What the treatment involves
Your own platelet-rich plasma is prepared, then delivered through small injections into selected areas. Your provider discusses comfort measures, treatment frequency and whether PRP suits the cause of your thinning.
Temporary tenderness, pinpoint bleeding, bruising or swelling can occur. Your provider will give you preparation and aftercare instructions.
COSMETIC SCALP SUPPORT
Microneedling with SERA
Scalp microneedling paired with SERA Hair Booster Serum, a cosmetic formula featuring hyaluronic acid, peptides and vitamins for scalp hydration and healthier-looking hair.
What the treatment involves
This option pairs microneedling with a formulated serum instead of plasma from your blood. Your provider assesses your scalp and confirms the appropriate product and application protocol.
Microneedling can cause temporary redness and sensitivity. SERA is a cosmetic scalp and hair product; it is not a drug treatment for hair loss.

LaseMD creates microscopic channels in the scalp, followed by the application of KeraFactor serum. A laser-based approach without scalp injections or microneedling.

KeraLase pairs LaseMD technology with topical KeraFactor serum. Your provider assesses the cause and pattern of thinning before discussing whether this approach belongs in your plan.
Temporary warmth, redness or sensitivity may occur. Your provider explains your treatment schedule and scalp-care instructions. Hair regrowth is not guaranteed.

What is the difference between PRP injections and microneedling with PRP?
Both begin with a blood draw to prepare your platelet-rich plasma. Injections place PRP directly into selected areas of the scalp. With microneedling, a device creates small punctures in the scalp and PRP is applied as part of the protocol.
Does every treatment require a blood draw?
PRP injections and microneedling with PRP require a blood draw. Microneedling with SERA and LaseMD KeraLase use formulated products and do not require your blood.
How soon could I notice a change?
Hair changes gradually. Assessing a response generally takes months, and results depend on the diagnosis, selected approach and individual response. Some people may not see meaningful improvement.
Will I need a series or maintenance?
A series and ongoing maintenance may be recommended. Your provider will discuss the schedule, cost and how progress will be reviewed before you commit.
Can these options treat every type of hair loss?
No. Sudden shedding, patchy loss or an inflamed scalp may require medical investigation before a cosmetic procedure. Identifying the cause helps determine whether these options are appropriate.
Is SERA a hair-regrowth medication?
No. SERA HB is a cosmetic Hair Booster Serum. Its role here is scalp hydration and healthier-looking hair, rather than a promise to treat hair-loss disease or regrow hair.
